Record weights this week, as the lake record gets broke twice in one match, so to all those anglers that ask how’s it fishing well the answer is simple, in the words of Paul Whitehouse…. “Brillllllliant”!
Martin Amos, Angling Direct, Peg 6, 225-4-0
We had a storm from hell last night and lightning lit the sky for miles around so the forecast for todays fishing was a little doughtful but we couldn’t have been more wrong as the lake record first fell to Dennis Lipscombe on peg 16 with 158lb 12oz taking Paul Dunn’s record of 156b, but sadly Dennis’s record only held for about 20 minutes until the Amos with a little help from his friends slowly started to accumulate a total and new lake record of 225b 4oz, more than he thought Martin caught on a top kit tight in the left hand margin hooking corn and worm over a huge bed of micro pellet, catching a mixture of bream and carp but in the last hour the carp just kept coming, the peg was solid with a capital SOLID, joe average Mr Amos excelled himself today, he’ll probably go home and pour himself a nice cold one, well done today champ, the other runners could only muster a measly 100lb+ wow what a match…..
