Stop Clowning around Roy and hold that fish properly…

Roy Makins clown hair 28.11.15
Roy Makins, GOT Baits, peg 3, 33-0-0

It was definitely a match of two half’s the first hour Roy achieved majority of this weight catching on either dead maggot or sweetcorn and after a great start the wheels completely fell off until the last hour where Roy managed a few more fish, a very slow and difficult day but a win all the same, love this pic of Roy and his clown wig…

Only a sprinkling of anglers today so why not treat them all to a golden peg well by the end of the match that suited Gary down to the ground, maggot, worm and ground bait was the approach and with all the big carp finally starting to go to sleep the silver fish get into gear and make for good match scratching a few fish together, finally Gary manages a well deserved win at one of his favourite venues.

Birthday boy Rob Dean has a days fishing and picks up the top prize in the process….

Rob Dean birthday win 4.11.2015
Rob Dean, Redbridge-Lake John, peg 3, 59-8-0

Rob Treats himself to a day off and draws the shortest walk to peg 3 which has shown a bit of form in the past few weeks so not a bad start to your 37th birthday, the match started slow for everyone and Rob scratched a few fish together early doors but it was at the half way stage that the peg switched on, 2 kilos of ground bait through the peg with worm and caster triggered the peg to life, these fish needed some serious feed a ball of ground bait every three fish was the formula with a worm head to the hook, a busy net of silvers and just one bonus carp, well done birthday boy you stopped two golden pegs….

  • Dennis Lipscombe, Oakwood Angling, peg 8, 49-8-0, golden peg
  • Trevor Stanley, Lake John Fishery, peg 32, 40-4-0, golden peg

A golden peg victory for Brownings Basildon babe, maintaining a method that hasn’t let him down all year, micro potting 2mm pellet and loose feeding 4mm expanders over the top has been the winning formula for weeks, well that and an incredible amount of luck he is unbelievable he just cant do any wrong hopefully lady luck will pass him by when the winter league starts next month, lol, another great victory and great news about Paul’s mum who’s is doing well on her way to recovery, this wins for you mum x
